WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Our work together begins with a 1:1 consultation, either over the phone or in a quiet location. This provides you with a chance to ask any clarifying questions, and for me to get to know a little about you and what has brought you to the service. Also, importantly, this will give us the chance to see if we are a good fit. By the end of the consultation, we will have created a bespoke package for you varying in length and components dependent on your needs and wants.
MOTIVATION AND WELL-BEING CONSULTATIONS
For those seeking to make meaningful and long-lasting changes in their lives, a series of psychologically informed consultations drawing upon motivational interviewing and solution focused brief therapy approaches may be beneficial. In these sessions, we will explore and identify your resources for change, barriers to change and motivators. The aim of these sessions is to get you to a place where you are motivated and have a plan and understanding of your situation that will allow for your motivation to transpire into tangible and observable positive actions.
We will begin by exploring your current style, what you need from your wardrobe, why you have decided to do this now, and how you like and would like to express yourself perceptually in different areas of your life (how you dress at the weekend may be very different from in the week). We will think together about shape, colour and personality while thoughtfully taking into account any additional considerations, e.g. changes in your body, worries and anxieties, and needed specialist clothing/undergarments. After this, we will pick out some items for you to try; when and where this takes place can be decided as not everyone is comfortable in clothing store changing rooms.
Taking place in your home, you and I will go through your current wardrobe, discussing your favourite and not so favourite pieces, and perhaps pieces that you're just not sure how to wear day to day. We will identify missing key items that would help pull your wardrobe together. Often a whole new wardrobe is not needed; we just need to rethink how we wear what we have. By the end of the session, you will have a clear idea of new outfits you can try, items you may want to purchase, and what is flattering for on you.
